Stainless Steel 316/316L/316H
Grade 316 stainless steel is an austenitic chromium-nickel alloy containing molybdenum (2-3%). The addition of molybdenum significantly enhances its corrosion resistance, particularly against pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments. It offers excellent high-temperature strength and outstanding welding characteristics. Grade 316L is the low-carbon version, immune to sensitization, making it ideal for heavy gauge welded components. Grade 316H features higher carbon content for improved performance at elevated temperatures.
